No rest for the weary…

Last week’s snowstorm just pushed a chaotic schedule back a week, stirred it around with the stuff already on this week’s calendar, and spat back a huge mess for me to deal with.
So I got the oven fixed on Monday, catered a dinner for a monthly board meeting I’m part of on Tuesday night, picked up four jumbo pizzas and handled dinner and cleanup for 15 middle schoolers for The Mogul’s shabbat school group on Wednesday night, finally got the U.S. Census Bureau off my back by completing their interview, and added three more weekly work meetings and a slew of extra-curricular meetings or appointments to my bulging calendar over the next few months.
Do I get to rest this weekend? Uh, no. I have to have Drama Mama at a 7 am soccer game on Saturday. I get to teach shabbat school class for 15 third-graders Saturday afternoon. And I’m cracking the whip to get the last of The Mogul’s thank you notes mailed to loved ones by the end of the weekend.
To add insult to injury, I’m transitioning into a new role at work – so am juggling to keep current client happy through the shifts while learning the ropes of the new gig. I even got moved, so have new neighbors to chat with and a desk setup to rearrange.
And on the medical front, well – I’ve been making good use of my flexible medical spending account already (amoxicillen for all!), and have started the Lasik train rolling (first appointment to get my pre-surgery evaluation is next week, hooray!)
So if I’m not here? I’m not out having a wild old time, or snoozing on the couch. I’m not lying back getting fanned by a grape-peeling god while nibbling on bon bons.
I’m either tearing around like a whirling dervish or passed out cold somewhere from exhaustion…

Tim thinks it’s a hoax, since he says the cars aren’t leaving tracks, but if it’s an animation it’s rather well done :}
